This weekends sensory tasting panels have been postponed. New dates will be circulated once the event is rescheduled.
It's already that third Thursday, Baltibrewers, and that means it's time to invade Nepenthe and discuss all things fermentable. We're hoping to make this meeting a little different in that it's happening during Baltimore Beer Week — as such, less business, more beer!
Prior to the meeting (4–7 p.m.), Nepenthe is hosting Virginia's Devil's Backbone for a tasting. If you can get there before the meeting, there might even be some beer left.
Agenda:
We hope to see you there.
Hey Baltibrewers, don't forget that we're also sponsoring the 2013 Gruit Ale, No Hop Comp at Liam's this Saturday. Co-sponsored with Liam's and Nepenthe. Comp starts at 7 p.m. and it's absolutely free to drink these herbal elixirs. Good idea to get there early, as we're expecting to reach capacity.
If you're looking for interesting, or you like weird, this should be your big stop.

Baltibrewers are taking part in Bikemore's Homebrew Bike Tour event again this Saturday after Big Brew concludes. There are still tickets left. Buy them up, and join us for some great homebrew, and a nice ride around North Baltimore.
Hey folks! Sorry to double bombard you in one day, but I just talked to Brian Strumke who let me know that there is a Stillwater event going on at Max's this Thursday from 6 pm to 10 pm, and he got Max's approval and requested that we all bring some of the brew we did with him to taste.
So if you took home wort from the event, do all of us a favor and stop up at Max's with a bit of the saison to share.
As our normal first Thursday meeting coincides with the opening tap ceremony and kickoff of Baltimore Beer Week we will be skipping the Thursday in favor of Friday's Chilibrew competition at the 2640 space, an event we're sponsoring as part of BBW. We encourage you to come out and support your fellow Baltibrewers by trying some beer, and tasting some chili. More details can be found on the Chilibrew event site.
Hope to see you there!
As we near the holiday season, the club's collective ability to meet and get things done is pretty much crippled. People are out of town, other parties are going on, etc.
Since the needs of our November meeting require that we collectively taste and decide which version of the beer we produced for the Guild Holiday Party to enter into competition, we will not meet officially in November. This does not mean we can't get together more informally.
Our pre-party meeting date will be December 3rd and will coincide with the annual Mount Vernon Monument Holiday Lighting.
What should we eat at the meeting?

Let me know if you have any others you'd like to add, or if you can think of anyone else we should add to this list.
I look forward to seeing you on the 3rd. It's always a great time.
